Your VA Benefits Stay. We Help With What They Leave Out.

Many veterans are told they do not need to look at Medicare or life insurance because they have VA health care or Tricare. That advice leaves real coverage on the table, and some decisions skipped at 65 carry permanent penalties.

Complete Family Protection is a private, licensed insurance agency in Lehi, Utah. We are not the VA, not Tricare, and not the government. Our job is to look at what you already have, explain what can work alongside it, and help you enroll only if it makes sense for you.

What We Do

How We Help Veterans

Medicare With VA Health Care

A Medicare plan can add coverage for doctors and hospitals outside the VA system without touching your VA benefits. We walk through whether that fits your situation.

Benefits vary by plan and service area.

Tricare for Life Reviews

Tricare for Life has strict rules tied to Medicare Part B, and getting them wrong can cost you the coverage for good. We help you understand the rules before a mistake becomes permanent.

Life Insurance and Final Expense

Coverage built to protect your family from final costs. Health conditions from your service years do not automatically disqualify you, and we work with carriers that take hard-to-insure cases.

VA Health Care

Medicare and VA Benefits Work Together

Enrolling in a Medicare plan does not cancel or replace your VA health care. Your VA benefits continue exactly as they are. Medicare simply adds a second way to get care: local doctors, a hospital close to home, and treatment that does not wait on a VA authorization.

VA Community Care requires prior authorization before you see an outside provider. A Medicare plan gives you options that are yours to use when you need them.

The Part B Rule Veterans Need to Know

Tricare for Life only works if you keep Medicare Part B. Drop Part B and you lose Tricare for Life permanently. There is no appeal and no way back in.

Signing up late for Part B has its own cost: a 10 percent premium penalty for each 12-month gap, and that penalty never expires.

A 15-minute conversation before you make a Part B decision can prevent a permanent loss. That conversation costs you nothing but the 15 minutes.

The Coverage That Ended When Your Service Did

Most veterans carried SGLI while serving, then lost it at separation or watched VGLI premiums climb with each new age band. The coverage went away. The reason for it did not.

Final expense coverage is whole life insurance built for one job: making sure your family is not handed a funeral bill. Smaller coverage amounts, premiums that do not go up, and coverage that does not expire as you age.

Health conditions from your service years do not shut the door. Many options ask health questions but require no medical exam, and we work with carriers that take hard-to-insure cases.

Common Questions

Questions Veterans Ask Us

I already have VA health care. Why would I need anything else?

Your VA benefits stay in place either way. A Medicare plan adds coverage for care outside the VA system: doctors near home, a hospital you choose, care that does not require a VA authorization first. For many veterans the two work side by side. Benefits vary by plan and service area, which is why we review your specific situation before recommending anything.

Will this replace my Tricare for Life?

No. Tricare for Life continues to work alongside Medicare. The one rule that matters: you must keep Medicare Part B. Dropping Part B means losing Tricare for Life permanently. We make sure that never happens by accident.

Can I even enroll right now?

It depends on your situation. Outside the fall Annual Enrollment Period, you may qualify if you are new to Medicare, turning 65, losing coverage, or moving. A licensed agent can tell you in one call whether you qualify for an enrollment window right now.

Is Complete Family Protection a government agency?

No. We are a private, licensed insurance agency based in Lehi, Utah. We are not affiliated with the Department of Veterans Affairs, Tricare, the federal Medicare program, or any other government entity. What we offer is guidance from licensed specialists, not a government program.

This sounds too good to be true. What's the catch?

A fair question, and the honest answer is that nothing is promised up front. Benefits vary by plan and by where you live, and nothing applies to you until a licensed agent reviews the actual plan details for your area with you. That review is the whole point of the call. If a plan does not fit your situation, we say so.

Talk Through Your Options
